This week’s prompt: It was the middle of the night, I knew this because I could hear the chiming of the clock whilst watching the dim light from the moon peeping through my curtains. Some people say midnight is the witching hour, the time where things hiding in the dark come out. Everything was so quiet that I could hear every sound – the whistling of the wind at the window, the rustle of the leaves on the trees, the creaking of the floor boards, footsteps. Mum and Dad must still be up. I heard the creaking of the staircase, then the landing outside my room. The landing was still dark, why had my parents not turned on the light? A shiver of fear went down my spine, as I realised, it isn’t my parents. My entire body began to shake with fear, I threw my head underneath the covers as my bedroom door opened…
SUBMISSIONS WILL CLOSE ON FEBRUARY 20TH. Direct message all submissions to @Queenieliz#0121 in the RF Discord server!
The People column publishes interviews with RF staff and members weekly. This week, Danielle was interviewed!
RNM: What is your favorite type of music? Who are some of your favorite artists?
DANIELLE: I like lots of different types! My favorite artists include Ariana Grande, Khalid, Travis Scott, and Kanye West, to name a few.
RNM: Nice! What has been your favorite gift that you have ever received?
DANIELLE: When I was ten I got to go to Disneyland for my birthday and that was really awesome. For this Christmas I got a really special gift that meant a lot to me, though.
RNM: Oh wow that’s such an amazing gift! I hope you enjoyed your trip! So, what is a common misconception people have about you?
DANIELLE: That’s pretty hard because I don’t really know a lot about what people think about me, but I guess generally it’d be that people think they know everything about me and my personality when they only know a few things.
RNM: Last question, if you could change anything in the world, what would you change?
DANIELLE: It’s pretty broad, but I’d just try to change how much suffering there is. Lots of people don’t have as much as I do and I’d like to change that.
RNM: Is there anything else you would like to add?
DANIELLE: Fight the good fight!
That concludes the interview with Danielle – thanks to Kiki for interviewing her!
